Wildfire Designs Alaska Return to the Wild Black Bear Applique Quilt Pattern

Return to the Wild applique quilt pattern features a black bear climbing a birch tree as in Yellowstone National Park. 

This wall hanging can be made individually or combined with the other three Return to the Wild Northwest series of patterns to create a large 42" x 45" combined wall hanging. The last photo shows the combined wall hanging using all four patterns. 

Wildfire Designs Alaska patterns are designed for fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet. The pattern contains a layout guide, full size applique pattern pieces that are already reversed, and instructions. Although the instructions do not say this, I recommend that all the applique pieces should be sewn down to the quilt top after fusing using the stitch of your choice (straight stitch, zig-zag, buttonhole or satin stitch).
