North to Alaska applique quilt pattern by Wildfire Designs Alaska designed by Dana Michelle. A mother whale with her calf are diving through the oceans layers near a mountainous coastline. Each Spring humpback whales migrate to Alaska from the warmth of the tropics following the west coast of Mexico and the continental United States. A mother and calf will travel over 3,000 miles north during each migration to spend the summer and feed in the cool Alaskan waters.
Wildfire Designs Alaska patterns are designed for fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet. The pattern contains a layout guide, full size pattern pieces, and instructions.
